About Faiaz!
Faiaz is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at UNLV. He is passionate about developing practical robotic systems that integrate control theory, artificial intelligence, and real-world deployment. His goal is to design intelligent robotic solutions that are accessible, efficient, and impactful in automation and assistive technologies.
Current Roles:
Faiaz is currently working on hyperspectral leaf data analysis using advanced machine learning techniques to accurately distinguish between plant species, with a focus on spectral feature extraction and intelligent classification methods. In parallel, he is involved in the design and development of UAV systems, integrating sensing, control, and autonomous technologies to build efficient aerial platforms for next-generation robotic applications.
